Taking someone’s hard earned cash for a commissioned project can be a pretty daunting experience. Now all of a sudden the parameters of the game have changed. It’s no longer about building something for the trials and tribulations of your own motorized spirit but unforeseen variables like “being creative as a job” really vibrate deep within your bones to swing hard and knock it out of the park. Guaranteeing a satisfied customer at the end of the day is a reflection of much more than just a job completed, it steers and gives doubt to your own capabilities and leaves that bullying, self-defining question; is this the best you can do? Are you creative enough to pave the path for someone to truly love your creation in the same way the initial emotions one gets when meeting a future lover? Thankfully, this patron was totally chill and after seeing the initial sketch just let us run with it. After having completed Hellion witht the breeze behinds our backs, we decided to take the design proposal to the next step. Fully restored engine, two tone of clean colours and brushed aluminium to create a graceful presence that echoes design features of the past and future to create this modern day cafe racer.
